Role Overview

As an intern in the International Trade Department, you will actively support Spanish SMEs in their expansion into the German market. This role involves hands-on experience in organising trade missions, connecting with potential clients, distributors, and sales agents, and managing communication channels. You will gain invaluable insights into international business operations while contributing to projects that directly impact company growth and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients, distributors, and sales agents in target international markets, with a focus on Germany.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, ensuring all logistics for trade missions are efficiently organised.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with leads and contacts via phone and email, fostering strong business relationships.
• Prepare detailed agendas, reports, and documentation for trade missions and meetings to support decision-making.
• Assist in developing market analysis and competitor research to inform strategic planning for SMEs.
• Collaborate with the international trade team to ensure seamless execution of trade missions and client interactions.

Candidate Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in International Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in international trade, export strategies, and cross-border business development.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable making calls and following up with potential clients professionally.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM tools for client tracking and reporting.
