There are three distinct routes to finding a placement, designed for different needs and budgets. The first route is completely free: browse the open vacancy board, apply online, and pay a refundable deposit only if a host company selects you. The second route is a premium personalised service where Spain Internship proactively searches for a placement that matches your profile, provides interview coaching, prepares your documentation, and — for non-EU students — can include full visa support. The third route is a full city package in Barcelona, Madrid, or Seville, which may include accommodation alongside placement support.

For non-EU students, the choice of route depends heavily on the internship duration. Stays under 90 days fall within the Schengen free movement allowance and do not require a visa — the Basic Premium covers this. Stays over 90 days require a student visa, which is included in the Basic Premium with visa (plus mandatory health insurance). Paid internships for non-EU students are handled through the Advanced Premium (plus health insurance), which includes 1-on-1 interview coaching and the complete visa documentation service.
