Our mission
To connect international students and graduates with meaningful professional experiences in Spain. Internships are more than work — they shape careers, build confidence, and spark global understanding. Our role is to make that journey smooth, compliant and enriching for students, universities and host companies alike.
How it started
Spain Internship was launched in 2009 in Seville, when finding a legal, structured internship in Spain still meant navigating visa paperwork, language barriers, and fragmented university partnerships alone. Our founder saw the gap and built a service to guide students, universities and host companies through it — with transparency and real human support.
From local roots to an international network
What began as a small project supporting Erasmus+ students from a handful of European universities grew into a full mobility network. By 2012 we were placing students from Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland into host companies across Spain — from Barcelona startups to hotels in the Canary Islands.
A new chapter with Piktalent
In 2023 Spain Internship joined Piktalent, an international mobility network operating across Europe and Latin America. The step let us scale internationally while keeping what has always mattered: a student-centred service, deep knowledge of Spanish visa and legal frameworks, and real human interaction.
Why it still matters
Digital platforms have not removed the underlying challenges. Students still need reliable placements and visa help. Universities still need trustworthy Erasmus+ partners. Companies still need motivated multilingual talent. That is where we come in — with experience, empathy and efficiency.
