Internship or Traineeship – Which Program is Right for You?
Intern Program (up to 12 months + 30-day grace period)
You can apply if you are:
Currently enrolled in a degree program abroad, OR
A recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
Trainee Program (up to 18 months + 30-day grace period)
You can apply if you are:
A degree holder with at least 1 year of related work experience abroad, OR
A professional with 5+ years of related experience.

General Requirements
Academic background and work experience must match the internship/traineeship field.
Proof of sufficient funds if stipend does not cover living expenses (min. $900/month if unpaid).
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
Duration of the Program
Minimum: 2 months (most companies prefer at least 6 months).
Maximum: 12 months (Interns) | 18 months (Trainees) + 30-day grace period.
Extensions possible with new DS-2019 issuance (extra cost).
After completion, enjoy a 30-day grace period for travel within the USA.
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed stipend of $500/month for stays of 2–6 months.
- Guaranteed stipend of $1000/month for 12-month placements.
- Many companies offer $500–$1500/month, depending on profile and field.
- Hospitality placements can be higher ($1400–$2500/month).

Refund Policy (Visa Denial)
If denied, partial refund of DS-2019 fee:
2–6 months: €600
7–12 months: €700

Cancellation after confirmation = no refund.
